Level: Beginner–Intermediate Duration: 20–25 minutes Goal: By the end, the student should be able to introduce themselves using simple English sentences. 1. 👋 Welcome — 2 minutes Say: “Hello! My name is Hameedah. It’s nice to meet you. How are you today?”. Then ask: What is your name? Where are you from? What do you like doing? Keep the conversation friendly. Ask the student to answer: What is your name? Where do you live? What do you do? What do you like doing in your free time? Why do you want to learn English? Listen for pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and confidence. 3. ✏️ Mini Lesson — 8 minutes Teach this simple introduction structure: My name is ___ . I am from ___ . I live in ___ . I like ___ . My favorite ___ is ___ . Example: “My name is David. I am from Nigeria. I live in Lagos. I like playing football. My favorite food is rice.” Have the student create their own introduction. 4. 🗣️ Speaking Practice — 5 minutes Pretend you're meeting for the first time. You: “Hi! What’s your name?” Student: “My name is…” You: “Where are you from?” Student: “I’m from…” You: “What do you like doing?” Student: “I like…” Correct mistakes gently and have them repeat the improved sentence. 5. ⭐ Ending — 3 minutes Say: “You did very well today! I noticed that you can communicate your ideas, and with regular practice, we can improve your grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, and speaking confidence.” Then ask: “What did you enjoy most about today's lesson?”
